2026 CP&Co. Junior Run
We're shaking things up over at the CP&Co. Junior Run in 2026!
To give kids more choice in the distance they run, to help keep teams together and to let younger kids in on the Run Garioch fun, we present the 2026 CP&Co. Junior Run events:
CP&Co. Mini Mile (200m) – preschoolers and/or parents/carers. (This event will not be chip timed, but all runners will receive a medal. Registration will take place at the GSC in the weeks before the event. Entry is by donation to the GSC Out of Schools Club.)
CP&Co. Quarter Mile (400m) – ages 4, 5, 6 on race day
CP&Co. Half Mile (800m) – ages 7, 8, 9 on race day
CP&Co. Garioch Mile (1610m) – ages 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 on race day
Children who will be 12 on race day can choose to enter either the CP&Co. Garioch Mile or the Mackie's 5K.
As before, all CP&Co. Junior Run races will start and finish in the fields behind Strathburn Park, to the west of the GSC’s 3G football pitch.
Runners should head to the waiting zone at the times indicated for their categories. There will be event marshals and signage in the area to direct them. Please also feel free to ask the marshals or staff at Junior Run HQ for assistance or information at any time.
Parents/guardians are NOT permitted within the waiting area. For good views of all the races, head to the start/finish area and the ‘hills’ next to the path on the Burghmuir Drive side of the park.
After finishing their races, runners will be directed to the finish zone, where they will await collection.
